Giant machines descended on the neighborhood and began resurfacing the street in front of my house with a material that looked a lot like chocolate.
What to do but grab my cell phone and video glasses and record some footage of the event. I edited some of it into a 2 minute video and backed it with some music I’d left unfinished for years because it seemed too plodding and mechanical. When I saw the roadwork footage I decided to try putting the two together. The result isn’t very polished, but it was a lot of fun in the making.
